Lukavica is a small town located in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nestled in the valley of the Drina River. Surrounded by lush green forests and rolling hills, this charming town is a perfect getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The most famous attraction of Lukavica is the Perucica forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is one of the last remaining primeval forests in Europe. The forest is home to numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, and wildlife, including bears, wolves, and lynx.

Apart from its natural beauty, Lukavica also boasts a rich cultural heritage. The town is home to several historic landmarks, such as the medieval fortress of Kula Grad, which dates back to the 14th century. The fortress offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and is a popular spot for sunset watching. Another must-see attraction is the Orthodox Monastery of Tavna, which was built in the 16th century and is renowned for its stunning frescoes and icons.
